These spectacular antique Georgian drop earrings are steeped in English History.
A lovely pair of trilogy, three stone, Silver earrings.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high indices of refraction and strong dispersion, the Romans in particular were very skilful in the production of coloured glass pastes.
The earrings are set with a closed backed Silver gallery and 18ct Gold wires.
Due to its age, Georgian jewellery is quite rare, with some pieces almost three hundred years old. From 1714 until 1837 four King Georges and a short-lived William gave rise to this extended period, spanning many fashions that are reflected in these stunning pieces of Georgian jewellery.
These earrings look gorgeous when worn, they would be perfect for a wedding or special occasion!
